The Respiratory Therapist provides airway management, administration of nebulized medications, secretion management, and application of oxygen therapy within the scope of practice under physician orders. Patient populations consist of adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.
ResponsibilitiesThe Respiratory Therapist will:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy with communication to physician and healthcare team
- Work across all locations at WakeMed to provide high-quality care to patients
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- 1 year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy
- An Associate's degree in respiratory therapy
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
This role requires:
- 12-hour shifts
- Weekend and call requirements as needed
