Individuals in this position are expected to manage projects and make informed decisions with minimal oversight. Continuous process improvement will be a key focus to enhance critical metrics such as On-Time In-Full (OTIF), backorder levels, schedule adherence, and resource utilization. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage key performance indicators, including on-time delivery and maintaining safety stock levels for products and raw materials. Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills for the preparation and presentation of planning reports and projects. Plan, schedule, and oversee the movement of materials throughout the production cycle to ensure timely delivery. Support the coordination of new product introductions as assigned. Provide management with insights for rescheduling in response to design changes, labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential disruptions. Manage multiple projects or issues concurrently, either facilitating or leading with minimal supervision. Utilize creative problem-solving skills to gather relevant information for addressing less clearly defined planning challenges. Set goals, review progress with supervisors throughout the year, and complete performance management documentation. Implement changes to material masters, product structures, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and Routers into the production process as necessary. Reassess orders and requirements by analyzing demand trends, lead time changes, minimum order quantities, standard batch sizes, and safety stock levels. Follow up on outstanding orders and partial shipments, expediting as necessary. Collaborate effectively with external departments to resolve issues. Identify and proactively communicate inventory stock level risks to marketing and present findings during Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) meetings. Analyze root causes of stockouts and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions. Demonstrate knowledge of ISO/FDA, GMP, ISO regulations, and other regulatory requirements pertinent to diagnostics manufacturing. Maintain all documentation related to the operations planning function, including backlog reports, lead-time analyses, shop floor orders, delivery performance, daily production status, and shortage reports. Manage replenishment levels for applicable safety stocking programs. Key areas of focus also include evaluating capacity requirements, monitoring production readiness and material availability, and driving continuous improvement in responsible areas. Ensure compliance with relevant company and departmental policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, data science, or equivalent relevant experience. A minimum of 2 years of experience in planning and scheduling or a related field. Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly SAP. Ability to identify problems, analyze situations, recommend solutions, and drive continuous improvements to completion. Strong knowledge of production planning with attention to detail, creativity, robust analytical skills, and effective organization and time management. Ensure adherence to corporate, site, and regulatory policies, practices, and guidelines. Possess project management, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet impending deadlines. Demonstrated understanding of ISO/FDA, GMP, ISO regulations, and other regulatory requirements for diagnostics manufacturing. OSHA safety compliance is required. Highly responsive to both internal and external customers. Proven experience and capability in collaborating with all organizational levels to meet requirements. Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and standard operating procedures. Collaborate to implement improvements and cost-saving measures effectively. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SAP, Oracle, and other ERP systems. Work Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm, with potential for mandatory overtime.
