Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Dentist to join our team at AxessPointe Community Health Centers. As a Dentist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive preventive and limited restorative dental services to all life cycles. You must be culturally sensitive to diverse populations and practice in a comprehensive health care environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides comprehensive dental care to all patients through evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and restoration.
  • Performs exams, x-rays, sealants, prophylaxis, and scaling, restorations, and endodontics.
  • Provides emergency dental services, including prescriptions for pain, extractions, and restorations.
  • Provides direct patient education to ensure proper preventive measures regarding proper oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and accident prevention.
  • Responsible for accurate record-keeping involving patient records/history.
  • Helps provide in-house dental training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the AxessPointe Chief Dental Officer.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from a School of Dentistry approved by the Ohio State Dental Board.
  • Previous experience in a dental setting is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as a team member in a fast-paced environment with a diverse group of health professionals.

Licenses or Certifications Required:

  • License to practice Dentistry in the State of Ohio.

Compliance:

This position requires compliance with API's written standards, including its Compliance Program and Standards of Conduct and policies and procedures.

Such compliance will be an element considered as part of the regular performance evaluation.

Failure to comply with API's Written Standards, which may include the failure to report any conduct or event that potentially violates legal or compliance requirements or API's Written Standards or, for managers and supervisors, fails to detect non-compliant conduct where reasonable efforts would have resulted in detection, will be met by the enforcement of disciplinary action, up to and including possible termination, in accordance with API's Compliance Program Policy and Procedure: Addressing Instances of Non-Compliance through Appropriate Disciplinary Actions.
