Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Coder to join our team at M.I.N.D. as a full-time professional. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing patient medical records, translating information into codes, and ensuring accuracy and completeness of claims submissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, compile, and review patient visits using ICD-10, HCPCS, and CPT coding systems.
  • Review records for completeness, accuracy, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of claims submissions.
  • Initiate queries to providers for additional information.
  • Assist the AR department in denial resolution.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes to coding and billing regulations.
  • Communicate issues and questions to management when appropriate.
Requirements
  • Must be RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC certified.
  • 1+ years of experience in high-volume coding of procedures.
  • Demonstrate computer skills as evidenced by proficiency and/or training with applicable medical billing software.
  • Problem-solving, time management, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
Work Environment

This job operates in a medical office facility. The position requires the ability to sit for long periods, view computer screens, and perform other tasks as needed.
