We are looking for a part-time Recreation Sports Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in managing various recreational sports activities and providing guidance to officials and scorekeepers. If you are a student with a strong enthusiasm for sports, this position could be an excellent fit for you.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure adherence to institutional and departmental regulations
- Conduct sport-specific training sessions for officials
- Participate in meetings and training programs
- Oversee player participation and game monitoring
- Assess and train officials and scorekeepers
- Advocate for programs provided by Wellness & Health Promotion
- Offer leadership during rule clarifications and disputes
- Maintain certifications in First Aid and CPR/AED
- Perform cleaning and sanitation duties as required
- Excellent communication abilities
- Certification in CPR/First Aid/AED (or willingness to obtain within 2 weeks)
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure
- Strong decision-making and conflict-resolution capabilities
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
