Aviation Commander

As a seasoned Aviation Captain, you will serve as the pilot-in-command on Home Depot owned/leased aircraft, ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of passengers and crew. This role requires a high degree of technical competence and awareness of safe aircraft operations, with a focus on maintaining a high level of proficiency in two types of aircraft.
Key Responsibilities- Act as Pilot-in-Command on Home Depot aircraft, maintaining a high degree of technical competence and awareness of safe aircraft operations.
- Provide guidance to flight personnel to assure safe, efficient, and coordinated use of corporate aircraft.
- Responsible for the conduct of safe flight operations and the compliance of all applicable FAA regulations, as well as internal Home Depot policies.
- Maintain an understanding of the normal procedures, emergency operating procedures, and all operating systems of the aircraft.
- Coordinate and complete all phases of assigned trips utilizing all available resources.
- Ensure that all members of assigned crew are fully qualified, properly rested, and prepared for flight.
- Flight follow with Flight Operations, communicating estimated times of arrival at destination, actual times of arrival, and status of the aircraft, crew, and passengers.
- Train co-pilots to assist them in preparing for possible future Captain openings.
- Must be 23 years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a professional pilot in corporate, military, or civil aviation.
- Minimum of 4000 hours total flight time, with 2000 hours in sophisticated, heavy multi-engine turboprop or jet aircraft and 2000 hours as pilot-in-command.
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Five to eight years of experience is preferred.
