Boiler Plant Operator

Job Summary:
As a Boiler Plant Operator at KDC One Knowlton, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our power plant equipment, including boilers, wastewater treatment, and water softening systems. Your duties will include performing preventative maintenance, cleaning, repair, adjustment, and lubrication of equipment, as well as modifying plant equipment and compounding mix tanks and ancillary equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain all power plant related equipment, including boilers, wastewater, high pressure water, iodine, and water softening equipment.
- Monitor boiler make-up water, steam, condensate, tower water, air, and gas pressure, and diagnose complex equipment failures.
- Clean, inspect, and maintain the power plant, wastewater plant, water softeners, and other related equipment.
- Maintain daily work reports/logbooks, including performance logs for the boiler, gas consumptions, water treatment, chemical usage, wastewater streams, and other ancillary equipment.
- Perform scheduled PM work as directed by the MP2 scheduling system.
- Perform full-factory startups and shutdowns, including boiler, wastewater systems, air compressors, HVAC, and other related facility equipment.
- Perform related duties or projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Boiler License from the county (Unlimited).
- 5 years of experience.
Work Environment:
- Process manufacturing environment.
- Moderate to heavy traffic, including forklifts.
