Job Summary

Rivers Edge Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated ED Tech to join our Emergency Department team. As an ED Tech, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic direct and indirect patient care, including vital sign monitoring, patient transfers, and specimen collection.
  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and provide emotional support and comfort.
  • Perform delegated tasks, such as wound care, oxygen application, and EKGs, under the direction of the provider or RN.
  • Contribute to unit/room maintenance, including cleaning, stocking, and restocking supplies.
  • Perform desk/clerical functions, such as answering phone calls, sending/receiving faxes, and arranging patient transport.
  • Collaborate with the provider and RN to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate
  • Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic certification preferred
  • Preferred training and experience: one year of current experience with ambulance service, hospital, or Emergency Department experience within the last three years.
  • BLS Certified
Work Schedule

This position is 0.75 FTE working 12 hours shifts, including every third weekend and every third holiday.
