Job Summary: The Emergency Department Technician is a vital member of the Northwestern Medical Center team, responsible for providing direct patient care to patients of all age groups. This role requires a high level of skill and knowledge to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. The ED Technician will work collaboratively with the Nursing staff to plan and implement assigned patient care.

Responsibilities:

* Provide direct patient care for patients of all age groups
* Collaborate with Nursing staff to plan and implement assigned patient care
* Document patient information
* Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served

Requirements:

* HS diploma or equivalent required
* National Registered (EMT-A) Emergency Medical Technician Advanced certification or Paramedic required
* BLS required
* AVADE training required within 6 months of hire
