We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at HCA Florida Largo Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic x-ray and CT examinations, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and technology.
Responsibilities- Select and operate technical factors for study, ensuring accurate and high-quality images
- Prepare and position patients for examinations, maintaining patient comfort and dignity
- Assist in the administration of contrast media and other related procedures
- Document all pertinent clinical information, obtain informed consent, and complete required fields within our electronic medical record system
- Obtain high-quality images, ensuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation
- Remain proficient in executing software protocols and stay up-to-date with changes in the field through ongoing education and training
- Maintain effective communication with patients, colleagues, and radiologists to ensure seamless patient care
- Check equipment operation, maintain cleanliness, and ensure a safe working environment
- Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimal patient care
- Completion of a 24-month program in Radiologic Technology at an accredited institution
- Current ARRT (CT) certification
- Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting of patients/equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Minimum of 1-3 years current/recent experience in diagnostic radiology, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting
