Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist - X-Ray Limited Scope Technologist to join our team at Concentra Career Choice. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for performing routine x-ray, medical, and testing procedures under direct supervision of the treating clinician.

Responsibilities
As a Medical Support Specialist - X-Ray Limited Scope Technologist, your duties will include:
  • Preparing patients for radiologic procedures, escorting them to dressing and x-ray rooms, and providing verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Operating radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes, positioning equipment, and adjusting controls to set exposure time and distance according to specifications.
  • Ensuring radiation safety measures and protection devices are in place to safeguard patients and team members.
  • Maintaining radiologic equipment, reporting malfunctions to Center Operations Director, and ensuring all Radiology workflows are followed.
  • Completing required documentation related to patient x-ray visits and following HIPAA guidelines and safety rules.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A high school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Certifications and/or licenses, including completion of a state-approved Limited Scope Technician certificate program and license by the state in which employed, if applicable.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • At least six months or more of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology.
  • Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific) is preferred.

Salary Information
The estimated annual salary for this position is $55,000-$65,000, depending on location and experience. This estimate includes a base salary, potential bonuses, and other forms of compensation.
