Job Title: Director of Purchasing

About the Role:

The Director of Purchasing will lead the procurement strategy for Gale Hotels, ensuring the timely acquisition of quality goods and services at optimal costs. This role involves strategic planning, supplier relationship management, and cross-departmental collaboration to enhance operational efficiency and drive cost savings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the purchasing team to achieve departmental objectives and improve overall performance.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Monitor and manage the purchasing budget to ensure financial compliance and optimize resource allocation.
  • Analyze market trends to inform purchasing decisions and mitigate risks, ensuring the timely acquisition of quality goods and services.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to align purchasing needs with operational requirements, enhancing operational efficiency and driving cost savings.
  • Track and report on purchasing metrics, providing insights to senior management to inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, maintaining a high level of integrity and professionalism.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies.
  • Knowledge of market dynamics, pricing strategies, and supplier evaluation, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.

Work Environment:
