Reliability Engineer

The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing equipment asset plans using Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and other reliability techniques. This includes applying engineering theory and practice to perform physical failure analysis, determine root cause of equipment failures, and conduct equipment performance evaluations. The Reliability Engineer will also analyze equipment trends and historical data to recommend and justify improvements to obtain lowest life cycle cost.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement equipment asset plans using RCM and other reliability techniques.
- Apply engineering theory and practice to perform physical failure analysis and determine root cause of equipment failures.
- Analyze equipment trends and historical data to recommend and justify improvements.
- Determine how process variation and equipment operation can impact equipment reliability.
- Support Area Mechanical Integrity (MI) projects, repairs, and maintenance to ensure compliance with regulations and Celanese procedures.
- Promote consistency by standardizing equipment procedures and operations within area of responsibility.
- Support capital projects by participating in setting equipment criteria and specifications to optimize equipment/system reliability and life cycle cost.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of applicable experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- Strong trouble shooting skills and ability to learn and work independently.
- Ability to work with others involved in various functions, including operators, mechanics, engineers, management, and other leaders.
