Key Responsibilities:
As an Employment Litigation Associate, your primary duties will include:
- Representing clients in all facets of employment litigation, encompassing discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage disputes, and breach of contract claims.
- Drafting, reviewing, and amending employment policies and procedures to ensure adherence to applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Offering legal guidance and advice on a broad spectrum of employment law issues, including employee relations, disciplinary actions, terminations, and conflict resolution.
- Conducting comprehensive investigations into allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other potential violations of employment laws.
- Negotiating and drafting settlement agreements, severance packages, and other employment-related contracts.
- Performing legal research and analysis to deliver the most accurate and current advice to clients.
- Engaging in professional development activities to remain informed about emerging trends and legal changes in employment law.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law institution.
- Admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in employment litigation, with a robust background in employment law, including policy development and legal advisory roles.
- Outstanding legal research and writing capabilities.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to resolve complex legal issues favorably for clients.
