Job Summary:

The PBX Operator is responsible for efficiently answering and routing all incoming calls to the switchboard in the shortest time. This role requires the ability to handle a high volume of calls, communicate effectively with the public, and monitor multiple alarm panels and page overhead.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming calls and route to other departments
  • Monitor multiple alarm panels and code phone
  • Place L.D. calls for physicians
  • Page overhead for employees/page codes
  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards, completes required education assignments annually, works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested
