Position Overview: The IT Senior Business Solutions Analyst plays a pivotal role in guiding the analysis, design, and execution of technological solutions that align with the strategic goals of the organization. This position entails supervising junior analysts, ensuring the excellence of deliverables, and offering expert insights on intricate business challenges. The Senior Business Solutions Analyst guarantees that all project requirements between business stakeholders and the IT division are effectively understood and translated into actionable technical solutions.

This exempt role will report directly to the Chief Information Officer within the Division of Information Technology. This position is hybrid, requiring three days in the office and two days remote.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the Scrum team to prioritize the product backlog and develop user stories that clearly articulate business needs and acceptance criteria.
  • Gather requirements to define project objectives and timelines using industry-standard analysis techniques such as data flow modeling, workflow analysis, and functional decomposition analysis. Requirements may be solicited through interviews, workshops, or existing documentation.
  • Establish and enforce project management policies while leading various software and web application development projects from inception to launch, defining project objectives, documenting the scope of work, acquiring necessary resources, and coordinating team efforts to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Mentor and train fellow ACS business analysts on the contributions of business analysts to software development, remaining well-versed in all relevant terminology and business processes related to strategic initiatives.
  • Engage closely with divisions to define, test, train, implement, and support functional requirements.
  • Assess the strengths and weaknesses of current systems and devise plans for enhancements.
Required Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of 4-7 years of experience in analyzing customer requirements and developing solutions for critical business applications is essential.
  • Proficiency in SQL programming is required.
  • Experience with Aptify software or similar association management systems is advantageous.
  • SCRUM Certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with business processing tools such as Visio, Lucidcharts, Jira, and JAMA is beneficial.
  • Experience with Crystal Reports and BI reporting tools is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, Python, and other programming/scripting languages is a plus.
  • Proficiency in all MS Office applications, particularly Excel, is required.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including facilitation abilities.
  • Strong facilitation skills across all areas of the College.
  • Ability to effectively plan and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
