Job Summary:

Terracon is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Accounting Representative to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of project accounting activities, including data entry, processing, auditing, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the processing of weekly timesheets and ensure accurate and timely payment to employees.
  • Enter miscellaneous charges, transfers, and drill rig usages into our accounting system.
  • Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable department to enter cash transactions, including ACH entries, checks, and credit card transactions.
  • Perform client maintenance, client merges, and project closures to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Approve and track agency worker invoices in Coupa to ensure timely payment and accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to employees, office staff, and management by responding to inquiries and resolving issues related to project accounting.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment and report any safety concerns to management.
  • Maintain quality standards on all projects to ensure accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience in project accounting or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of project accounting principles and practices.
  • Accurate data entry skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history.
