Role Summary and Qualifications

The Rehabilitation Therapist is responsible for delivering exceptional, patient-focused care by overseeing the complete process of therapeutic services for a designated group of patients, in collaboration with the healthcare team. This role involves conducting patient assessments and contributing to the development and execution of personalized care plans aimed at achieving patient goals and enhancing their experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and implement treatment interventions in accordance with established legal and ethical standards.
  • Assess and evaluate patients' therapeutic and functional status, contributing to the overall care plan.
  • Engage in purposeful and skilled interactions with patients, utilizing techniques to facilitate improvement in their condition.
  • Monitor and report on patients' responses to treatment and any changes in their condition.
  • Communicate essential payer requirements to the treatment team, patients, and their families promptly.
  • Manage caseload priorities, staffing needs, and coordinate care assignments.
  • Work primarily in rehabilitation settings with rotations to acute care.

Qualifications:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
  • Registered Occupational Therapist (ROT) or Occupational Therapy (OT) license required.
