Position Overview:

We are in search of a Senior Tax Consultant for our office. This senior-level role requires a robust background in taxation and CPA certification.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing and directing tax engagements for clients, including planning, execution, and delivery
  • Identifying and addressing tax risks for clients
  • Conducting tax research and providing advice on intricate tax matters
  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with clients and other professionals
  • Supervising, mentoring, and training junior staff members
  • Keeping abreast of tax laws and regulations and applying that knowledge to client work
  • Reviewing and preparing federal and state income tax returns
  • Reviewing and preparing partnership, corporate, and trust returns
  • Reviewing and preparing sales and use tax returns
  • Reviewing and preparing property tax returns


Qualifications:
  • CPA certification is mandatory
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on taxation
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in tax
  • Exceptional project management and leadership abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations
  • Proficient in tax preparation software
