Job Title: Occupational Therapist

At The Kidz Club, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping children with special needs achieve their full potential.

About Us:
The Kidz Club is a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) center that provides high-quality and intensive PT, OT, and ST services to children attending our center. Our team is dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for children with medical complexities, ages birth to under 21.

Responsibilities:
As an Occupational Therapist at The Kidz Club, you will be responsible for assessing and diagnosing developmental, congenital, neurological, and musculoskeletal disorders in children. You will develop individualized treatment plans to address clients' sensory processing, motor skills, cognitive abilities, self-care skills, play skills, and overall functional performance.

  1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify clients' strengths and weaknesses.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address clients' specific impairments.
  3. Utilize evidence-based practice in therapy sessions, including sensory integration therapy, fine motor activities, gross motor activities, self-care training, social skills training, and environmental modifications.
  4. Document all client interactions, including evaluations, treatment notes, and progress reports.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
  6. Stay current with advancements in the field through continuing education and professional development activities.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a master's or doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program and state licensure from the Florida Department of Health. You will also need to have clinical experience working with the pediatric population, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and proficiency using standardized assessment tools and therapeutic interventions.
