About Us:
The Fuels and Energy Development Section specializes in pilot plant services and the advancement of innovative processes in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the assembly, upkeep, and operational support for pilot plants involved in petroleum and chemical processes to gather data and enhance our clients' process development and scaling efforts.
- Support pilot plant operations across various shifts, ensuring continuous functionality.
- Utilize tools, tubing, piping, pumps, and instrumentation to facilitate pilot plant assembly, maintenance, and operations.
- Manage departmental chemical and equipment inventories while maintaining organized and efficient workspaces.
- Enhance staff training and safety protocols, ensuring comprehensive documentation to comply with ISO9001 standards.
Daily Tasks:
- Document shift changes, conduct job safety analyses for task work orders, and maintain records while operating pilot plants using distributed control systems.
- Handle catalyst loading and unloading, perform heater repairs and installations, manage insulation tasks, and oversee the transfer of solid and liquid feedstocks and products.
- Ensure proper labeling and organization of chemical inventories, manage waste disposal, conduct safety reviews, interpret P&IDs, and participate in HAZOP and PHA sessions.
- Attend shifts diligently to maintain workflow continuity.
- Review and modify operational procedures as necessary.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Availability for shift work is essential.
- 2-10 years of experience in the assembly, operation, and maintenance of chemical or petroleum processes utilizing piping, tubing, and instrumentation.
- 2-10 years of experience operating processes with a control system, with a solid understanding of P&IDs, pressures, temperatures, and process flows.
- A valid driver's license is mandatory.
