Job Summary

We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team in the Respiratory Therapy Department. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for evaluating and implementing patient care modalities in critical care, floor care, and urgent care areas. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide ventilator care, bronchodilator and other aerosolized therapy, blood gas collection and analysis, and respond to medical emergencies throughout the facility.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic clinical procedures as defined in the Respiratory Care Services scope of clinical practice and in accordance with physician orders, policies, and protocols.
  • Maintain proficiency with all respiratory and blood gas lab modalities and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with other members of the interprofessional care team.
  • Document and bill for services in the electronic medical record.
Requirements
  • Completion of a Respiratory Care program.
  • Credentialed by the NBRC as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  • ACLS certification.
  • Licensure in the state of Florida in Respiratory therapy.
  • Current BLS certification.
