Job Description:
The Manufacturing Assembler is responsible for executing a range of routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly tasks, guided by company policies and safety protocols.
- Conducts various mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly tasks following company instructions and procedures.
- Performs inspections of personal and team members' work to ensure accuracy in line with company and customer specifications.
- Handles small components such as ceramic boards, crystals, gauges, fine pins, fire wire, solder particles, and epoxy under a microscope using precision tools.
- Adjusts, bends, aligns, and solders fine wires to resistors and base components.
- Utilizes epoxies for bonding or sealing parts or assemblies, employing direct heating elements or ovens, and conducts various in-process tests.
- Implements process specifications governing production within an assigned cell, documenting production time and quantity data.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area in accordance with company standards and participates in required events.
- Performs basic welding tasks and/or brazing, soldering, and may operate light machinery such as sand blasters or electro-etching equipment.
- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
- Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma/GED
2-5 years of relevant experience
Soldering experience is mandatory.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficient in routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations.
- Able to work extended hours under a microscope.
- Competent in operating various hand tools and machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret company documents, including safety rules and operating instructions.
- Good manual dexterity for handling small components.
- Capable of identifying and resolving typical issues within the work area; evaluates and selects solutions from established options.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Acceptable visual acuity is required.
