Job Summary
Lands' End is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. As an HVAC Technician at Lands' End, you will be responsible for the safe repair and preventive maintenance of all HVAC equipment, including steam boilers, heat pumps, VAV's, cooling towers, and forced air systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Conduct thorough inspections of HVAC systems to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Operate building automation controls to monitor and adjust HVAC system performance.
- Respond to emergency calls and perform repairs as needed.
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance plans for all HVAC equipment.
- Manage HVAC parts inventory and prepare purchase order requests.
- Assist with ordering HVAC parts and equipment as needed.
- Keep accurate maintenance and work order documentation.
- Familiarize yourself with safety features of equipment and work in a safe manner at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with HVAC equipment.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Extensive experience with hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
- Knowledge of hydronic, steam, heat pump, and forced air heating systems.
- Knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
- Mechanical and electrical systems troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to handle deadlines and changing priorities and work in a fast-paced and customer service-oriented environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner while working as part of a team and completing assignments independently.
- Must obtain certification to operate forklifts and all Lands' End motorized vehicles.
- Must be able to work a 40-hour work week and be available for weekends and overtime as business needs arise.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position that requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be able to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
