TerraBella Harrisburg is seeking a seasoned healthcare professional to fill the role of Director of Health and Wellness. This position is responsible for ensuring the highest level of clinical care and safety for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding clinical care.
- Analyze occurrence trends and develop/implement improvement plans as needed.
- Collaborate with the Administrator and team members to maintain resident and team member health and safety.
- Partner with the pharmacy consultant to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to residents.
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to licensed nurses.
- Identify ongoing needs and services of residents through the assessment/service plan process.
- Ensure resident service plans are updated as required by state regulations.
- Maintain open communication with residents' families and/or responsible parties regarding changes in care or health concerns.
- Schedule clinical staff on a monthly basis.
- Ensure adequate clinical supplies are available.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
- Current state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse.
- License must be in good standing.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Minimum 2 years of geriatric experience.
- Prior experience in assisted living, home health, or long-term care is preferred.
- Must demonstrate competence in assessment skills, injections/medication administration, follow-up, and triage.
- Provides leadership by exhibiting confidence in self and others; inspires and motivates others to perform well.
