Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Explosives Operator to join our team at Olin. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient production of explosives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mix and prepare explosives and solutions in accordance with established procedures.
  • Transport materials using a 4-wheel cart.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to wet, humid, and extreme temperatures.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Related chemical experience.
  • Advanced mathematical, basic computer knowledge, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be detail-oriented.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Flexibility to work other shifts, weekends, and forced overtime.
Location-Specific Requirements
  • This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
  • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
