We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Allina Health. As a vital member of our surgical team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our patients' surgeries.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in providing care to patients undergoing surgical intervention, including identifying, assembling and facilitating use of surgical instruments, equipment and supplies.
- Prepare the OR and set up for procedures, maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Assist the physician in the scrub role during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile field and anticipating needs for instruments and equipment.
- Perform sponge, sharps and other counts accurately, and account for all instruments and items on the field.
- Associate's or Vocational degree graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Must meet at least one of the following requirements: Certified Surgical Technologist from The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting within 1 year of hire, or Tech in Surgery TS-C (NCCT) Certification within 1 year of hire.
- Must meet at least one of the following requirements: Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, or Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross, or Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire).
