Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Perioperative Assistant to join our team at St. Bernardine Medical Center. As a Perioperative Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Cardiac Catheterization Lab and supporting our nursing team in providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing the department and rooms for patient procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Transport and transfer patients safely and with dignity, considering their individual needs and confidentiality.
  • Support the nursing team in providing high-quality patient care, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification or Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification with Basic Arrhythmia certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
