Job Summary

The RN Team Leader - Perioperative Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the plan for patient care with Operating Room personnel, ensuring the perioperative patient's safety through MMC policies and procedures. This role works closely with medical, nursing, and ancillary staff, and interacts with other departments. The Team Leader assists with maintaining, staffing schedules, staff education, and meetings. This leadership role serves as a resource person for unit personnel.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the Operating Room team
Ensure compliance with MMC policies and procedures for perioperative patient safety
Collaborate with medical, nursing, and ancillary staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate records and reports of patient care activities
Participate in staff education and training programs to enhance patient care skills

Qualifications

Minimum three years recent Operating Room experience required
Current California Registered Nurse license and current CPR certification
Ability to function as a circulating/scrub nurse
Call is required for this position

Preferred Qualifications

Two years leadership experience or basic supervisory course preferred
CNOR certification preferred
Quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire
