Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Atrium Health. As a key member of our Information Services department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and define specifications for complex operating software programming applications
  • Maintain the technical performance of Unix and mainframe based hardware and software
  • Provide responsive support to application development and operational activities
  • Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvement
  • Advises IS staff on proper data administration and program design
  • Supports the HBOC Star and Pathways products and PeopleSoft financial applications
  • Works with vendors on system installation and setup
  • Supports all AIX, HP, and Digital Unix operating systems
  • Recommends and implements solutions to problems within Information Services
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or job related field preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
  • Must be available for callback support on a regular basis, extensive evening and weekend hours due to schedules at times for conversions, training required
