Centralized Monitoring Nurse Position for Lancaster General Health

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Centralized Monitoring Nurse to join our team at Lancaster General Health. This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week, with night shifts from 7 pm to 7:30 am, including every third weekend and rotating holidays.
The salary for this role is estimated to be around $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience. If you have 15+ months of RN experience, you may also be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000, prorated based on FTE.
About the Job Description
This Centralized Monitoring RN will be responsible for monitoring telemetry orders and evaluating the need for continued monitoring. They will also identify early signs of sepsis and implement sepsis bundle protocols to promote optimal patient outcomes. The nurse will collaborate closely with monitor technicians and clinical teams to ensure a safe and seamless patient experience, providing specialized cardiac care tailored to each patient's unique care plan.
Responsibilities
- Incorporate Lancaster General Health's mission, vision, and values into patient care planning.
- Function as an independent and interdependent member of the healthcare team, as defined in the unit-based Plan for Provision of Care.
- Perform patient assessments, focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive functions, and evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
- Collect and manage comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation, analyzing it to determine the diagnosis or issues.
- Formulate age-appropriate and culturally and ethically sensitive plans of care, implementing them in a knowledgeable manner and coordinating patient care across several disciplines and among caregivers.
- Provide leadership to other members of the team by effectively communicating expected standards of care and encouraging and supporting team members and their contributions.
- Demonstrate an understanding of and a commitment to Lancaster General Health's values of privacy, quality, respect, service, and teamwork.
- Assign, delegate, and supervise other employees, intervening as appropriate to assure that the plan of care is carried out, continuity of care is provided, and established outcomes are achieved.
- Educate patients about healthy practices and treatment modalities, systematically enhancing the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices.
Requirements
- RN licensure issued by the PA Board of Nursing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher-level nursing degree required.
- Completion of the Nurse Residency Program or more than 15 months of practice.
- CPR Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS Certification.
- A healthcare provider in good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal and state health insurance programs.
