About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Cardiac Care Specialist to join our dynamic team at Lancaster General Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Centralized Monitoring Unit. Your expertise and passion for cardiac care will enable us to deliver exceptional outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Telemetry Orders Management: You will closely monitor telemetry orders and evaluate the need for continued monitoring, ensuring timely and accurate responses to patient needs.
  • Sepsis Alert and Early Identification: You will identify early signs of sepsis and implement the sepsis bundle protocols to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: You will work closely with monitor technicians and clinical teams to ensure a safe and seamless patient experience, while providing specialized cardiac care tailored to each patient's unique care plan.
Requirements
  • CPR Certification: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support is required within 30 days of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification: A must-have for this role.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective communication is crucial in this position, as you will work with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Nurse Residency Program or Experience: Completion of the Nurse Residency Program or more than 15 months of practice is required.
