Job Summary:
The Nurse Extern II is a member of the patient care services team with primary responsibilities for technical, multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical, multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Report all deviations from expected patient parameters to the registered nurse.
- Assist with providing patient care such as ADLS, vitals, ambulation and other duties within the scope of patient care tech or equivalent.
- Work under the supervision of a registered nurse who delegates tasks based upon patient needs and NE II skills and abilities.
Qualifications:
- Applicants can apply starting 6 months before graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Must pass all senior courses to remain in the program.
Working Conditions:
The Nurse Extern II will be assigned to an experienced RN each shift and will assist with providing patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
