Your Role
The Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting our loan syndications team by:
- Primary Market Engagement: Assisting in the origination, structuring, and distribution of syndicated loans within targeted industry sectors in the corporate banking portfolio.
- Secondary Market Support: Aiding the sales team in managing relationships with over 200 commercial banks and various non-bank investors, facilitating loan transactions to optimize capital efficiency and enhance profitability.
Key Responsibilities
The Analyst's daily activities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive analysis of financial and loan market trends, managing deal and investor databases, and contributing to client presentations and internal reports.
- Supporting the formulation and implementation of strategic business initiatives.
- Being adaptable with work hours to ensure an exceptional client experience, which may require evening and weekend availability.
How You Will Excel
To thrive in this role, you will need to:
- Research and analyze primary and secondary loan market dynamics, including pricing trends and investor behavior, to inform financing proposals.
- Monitor credit and business trends specific to clients and industries to aid in structuring loan proposals and responding to investor inquiries.
- Assist in creating market risk assessments for loan underwritings, including liquidity and comparable transaction analyses.
- Review and prepare documentation for new business initiatives and underwriting proposals.
- Maintain up-to-date databases of loans and investor contacts.
- Support the organization of deal launches and marketing events.
- Facilitate communication with investors during syndication phases.
Who You Are
To be successful in this position, you should possess:
- A degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- A solid understanding of capital markets, investment banking, and financial products.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and credit proposals.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with additional languages being advantageous.
- Strong presentation abilities and relationship-building skills.
- The capacity to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
