Position Overview:
As a Process Automation Specialist, your primary focus will be to enhance labor efficiency within designated processes through innovative automation strategies.


We work in close collaboration with process, equipment, and new product stakeholders to pinpoint areas for enhancement, subsequently designing and executing solutions through industry benchmarking and strong partnerships with automation providers.


In this capacity, you will oversee all phases of automation initiatives, from conceptualization and design to deployment and production launch.


Moreover, leveraging our expertise, we will provide feedback on automation design principles to the new product introduction team whenever applicable.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with Site Manufacturing and Engineering teams to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze workflows, product transitions, equipment configurations, and operator assignments to uncover inefficiencies.
  • Organize brainstorming sessions with cross-functional teams to generate innovative improvement ideas.
  • Assess improvement proposals based on return on investment, quality, and safety/ergonomics enhancements.
  • Present improvement suggestions to management for consideration.
  • Design automation solutions through industry benchmarking and collaboration with automation suppliers.
  • Conduct research on best practices in industrial automation.
  • Select vendors to implement improvement initiatives using analytical decision-making tools.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to develop solutions that align with improvement goals.
  • Plan projects comprehensively, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Lead the implementation of automation solutions until they are fully operational.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to automation vendors throughout the project management lifecycle.
  • Maintain ongoing collaboration with key partners, including process and equipment owners, to ensure that improvement objectives are achieved.
  • Establish regular meetings with cross-functional teams to facilitate successful production ramp-up.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Strong interest in the semiconductor sector.
