As an Underwriting Supervisor, you will lead a team of Underwriter I professionals in assessing merchant applications for payment processing services. Your role is crucial in ensuring the integrity of our underwriting process, mitigating risk, and fostering customer satisfaction. With a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and exceptional service delivery, you will contribute to the continued success and growth of our organization.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Provide leadership and guidance to a team of Underwriter I professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
* Review and approve complex merchant applications, ensuring compliance with credit/risk scales, bank underwriting requirements, and company policies. Analyze credit reports, financial statements, and other relevant documents to assess risk accurately.
* Conduct thorough audits of underwriting files to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established guidelines.
* Identify trends, potential risks, and areas for process improvement, implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and mitigate risk.
* Track key performance metrics, such as application processing times, approval rates, and customer satisfaction levels. Generate reports and provide insights to senior management to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

**Requirements:**

* 3+ years of merchant underwriting experience, preferably in a senior role.
* Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new proprietary software (CRM) as well as third-party vendor systems.
* Demonstrate the ability to solve critical business issues using innovative solutions.
* Proven ability in providing excellent and personalized customer service.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent research skills.
* Detail-oriented.
* Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, proportions, percentages, and volume.
* Experience overseeing a remote team is a plus.

**What We Offer:**

* Quarterly profit-sharing bonuses as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, retirement planning, and/or other benefits.
* Base salary range: $60,000 - $70,000.
* Salary including quarterly profit-sharing bonus and comprehensive benefits program range (annualized): $80,725 - $91,725.
