Position: Senior Security Incident Response Manager

Blue Yonder is on the lookout for a proactive and experienced Senior Security Incident Response Manager. This role entails overseeing threat detection, surveillance, and incident management.
The selected candidate will manage security incidents during North American operational hours and will collaborate closely with global internal security teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and address cybersecurity threats to maintain secure operations. Collaborate with the existing global Security Operations Center (SOC) team and keep the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) updated on security activities.
- Serve as a point of contact between the SOC team, internal stakeholders, and external entities such as vendors and regulatory bodies.
- Formulate incident management strategies and protocols, monitor networks for potential breaches, and lead tabletop exercises to refine plans and procedures.
- Conduct proactive threat hunting to uncover vulnerabilities and evaluate the effectiveness of security measures; engage with internal red teams to identify offensive tactics and implement findings.
- Enhance security frameworks by assessing the security landscape, pinpointing vulnerabilities, and executing improvements.
- Proactively identify risks and implement remediation strategies.
- Generate performance metrics for management as required. Compile security reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant data and trends.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of on-premises and cloud security architectures and controls.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and procedures through continuous monitoring; conduct incident response evaluations; and develop training initiatives.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in security incident management or penetration testing; a Master's degree may substitute for experience.
- Hands-on experience with threat detection, monitoring, incident response, and security technology management (e.g., SIEM tools like Qradar/Splunk).
- Familiarity with SOAR, WAF, AV, firewalls, and internet-facing services. Experience with tools such as Sentinelone and Crowdstrike is advantageous.
- Proficient in conducting technical assessments of security incidents, including malware analysis, incident triage, escalation, communication, and digital forensics.
- Strong background in preventing, detecting, and responding to cyber threats.
- Relevant certifications such as CISM, CEH, GCIA, GCIH, CISSP, or equivalent are preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in people management is essential.
- Familiarity with automation scripting is beneficial.
- Expertise in vulnerability and threat management, with the ability to distill threat intelligence into actionable insights.
- A Bachelor's degree in information security, information technology, computer science, or related fields is required.
- Experience with public cloud infrastructures such as Microsoft Azure, GCP, or AWS is a plus.
- Knowledge of security frameworks and regulatory standards such as NIST and ISO 27001/2 is important.
- Demonstrated understanding of information security principles, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, TCP/IP protocols, and log management.
- Exceptional customer service skills, including strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- A results-oriented mindset with a keen attention to detail.
Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current national data. Individual compensation will depend on skills, experience, certifications, and other relevant factors. This role may also be eligible for performance bonuses or commission programs.
