About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team at Confluence Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our mission to deliver exceptional patient-centered care.

Job Summary:

This role involves providing respiratory care to patients under the supervision of physicians and nurses. You will administer medications, operate various medical devices, and assist with diagnostic procedures. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications to patients, adhering to physician orders and hospital protocols.
  2. Medical Device Operations: Effectively use and maintain various respiratory devices, including ventilators, oxygen concentrators, and nebulizers.
  3. Diagnostics and Procedures: Assist with diagnostic procedures, such as spirometry and lung function tests, under the guidance of physicians and nurses.
  4. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
  5. Clinical Rounds: Participate in clinical rounds with medical directors to discuss patient progress, develop care plans, and address any concerns or questions.

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduation from an accredited school of respiratory care or a related field.
  • Certifications: Current registration with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
  • Licensure: Current licensure to practice as a respiratory therapist in the state of Washington.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Windows navigation, mouse usage, keyboarding, email communication, and password management.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience: One year of experience as a respiratory care specialist or a related field.
  • EPIC EMR: Familiarity with the EPIC electronic medical record system.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
