We are seeking a highly skilled Neurology Physician to join our team at Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA. This is a temporary locum position with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare facility.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Neurology Physician to work in a clinic/hospital setting, managing outpatient and inpatient patient loads. You will be responsible for interpreting radiologic exams, performing EEGs, brain death exams, and EMGs, as well as collaborating with other medical professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a patient load of 8 outpatients and 3 inpatients
* Interpret radiologic exams, including EEGs, brain death exams, and EMGs
* Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure efficient patient care
* Work in a clinic/hospital setting with a focus on adult patient care
Work Schedule:
* Monday to Friday: 8 hours (with a guaranteed minimum of 8 hours per day)
* Night call: 5pm-8am (Monday to Friday)
* Saturday and Sunday: 24-hour call (8am-8am)
Compensation and Benefits:
* Competitive hourly rate: $300 (Monday to Friday) and $350 (night call)
* Daily rate: $2,400 (Saturday and Sunday, 24-hour call)
* Additional pay for overtime or extended shifts
* Epic/Connect Care EMR system used for documentation
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Board certification in Neurology or related field
* Strong clinical skills and experience in patient care
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to interpret radiologic exams and perform EEGs, brain death exams, and EMGs
