Job Purpose: Analogic is seeking a detail-oriented Co-op Manufacturing Engineer to assist with the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead effort to review and update tolerancing on released assembly drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Provide support to manufacturing technicians in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and support decision-making processes using Minitab and/or MS Excel.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation, including process flow diagrams, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist in the maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as R&D, Quality, and Production, to support overall manufacturing goals.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Program in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks Certification), and statistical analysis tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data sets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous co-op or internship experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing software.
