About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Ascension St. Elizabeth in Appleton, WI. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Setup: Prepare the surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies, ensuring a clean and organized environment for the surgical team.
  • Instrument Management: Maintain instruments in an organized manner, monitor and track instrument counts throughout procedures, and ensure that all necessary equipment is available and functioning properly.
  • Assisting Surgeons: Assist surgeons in providing hemostasis during surgery, ensuring that the patient receives the best possible care.
  • Patient Care: Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
Requirements
  • Licensure and Certification: Possess a BLS Provider certification, obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Education and Experience: Hold a high school diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, or an Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates who are graduates of a Surgical Technologist program.
