Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Navigator to join our team at Healogics, LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing front office functions, coordinating patient care, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Patient Care: Work closely with center leadership to maximize daily patient census and ensure smooth operation of the outpatient wound care center.
  • Manage Front Office Functions: Greet patients and visitors, answer and route calls, maintain patient communication needs, and schedule appointments.
  • Verify Patient Information: Obtain and verify patient insurance information, including pre-certifications and pre-authorizations for services.
  • Collect and Enter Patient Charges: Collect and enter patient charges in databases, verify and reconcile charges as directed.
  • Coordinate Ancillary Testing: Schedule ancillary testing with other hospital departments and arrange for patient transportation as needed.
  • Maintain Office Equipment and Supplies: Maintain office equipment and supplies, as well as medical supplies as directed.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED); Associate's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of Two (2) or more years of office administration experience, preferably in a medical setting; prior medical coding experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Good customer, interpersonal, and communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Organization and Time-Management Skills: Organization and time-management skills, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment and on multiple projects at the same time.
Physical Demands
  • Stationary Position: Being in a stationary position for extended periods of time (4 hours or more).
  • Computer Screen Viewing: Viewing computer screen for extended periods of time (4 hours or more).
  • Keying and Reading: Keying frequently on a computer for 4 hours or more and reading.
