We are seeking a Life Saving Instructor to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives by teaching valuable lifesaving skills.

Job Description:

This is a full-time position that requires a variable schedule. You will be responsible for delivering corporate classes to community groups at corporate facilities and/or at community or corporate sites. This includes providing high-quality instruction per program guidelines, providing necessary information/reports in a timely manner, and properly maintaining equipment in your possession.

">

You will also be responsible for performing all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver corporate classes to community groups at corporate facilities and/or at community or corporate sites">

  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulations">

Requirements:

">

To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED). Current certification as an instructor in your discipline is desired, but not required. Additional training and certification will be provided to qualified candidates after hire through American Red Cross courses. Once certified, you must maintain current basic and instructor-level certifications for the courses you have been hired to teach.

You should also have previous experience in education, adult training, or the service industry, as well as basic computer and email skills and the ability to utilize MS Office programs. You must have strong presentation abilities and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to communicate course material in a clear and understandable manner.

A background in safety education, corporate training, presentation skills, customer service skills, passion for service, ability to work independently, tech savvy, and ability to work with diverse communities are highly desirable. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on location and qualifications. Premium pay and shift differentials are paid evenings and weekends.

Travel:

This role requires travel regionally, up to 100%, so a valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.
