About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Writer - Joint Doctrine to join our team at the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining joint doctrine development schedules, establishing and maintaining standards for research, analysis, clarity of expression, and preparation of written doctrine.

The selected candidate will also participate in planning, developing, and assessing various aspects of joint and multinational doctrinal publications. Additionally, they will assess Joint Doctrine during global integrated exercises.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to utilize their expertise in joint doctrine development and analysis. The selected candidate will work closely with our team to develop and implement joint doctrine strategies that meet the needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain joint doctrine development schedules
  • Establish and maintain standards for research, analysis, and written doctrine
  • Participate in planning, developing, and assessing joint and multinational doctrinal publications
  • Assess Joint Doctrine during global integrated exercises

Requirements:

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Males born after 12/31/59 must be registered for Selective Service
  • Suitable for Federal employment, determined by a background investigation
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period
  • Work Schedule: Full Time
  • Overtime: Occasionally
  • Tour of Duty: Flexible

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
