Radiation Therapist PRN

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist PRN to join our team at Intermountain Health. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in the administration of ionizing radiation for therapeutic purposes, working closely with Radiation Oncologists to ensure accurate and effective treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret and implement prescription and treatment plans as directed by Radiation Oncologists
- Accurately complete and chart simulation and treatment summaries, and reports
- Deliver prescribed courses of radiation therapy according to department protocols
- Perform simulation procedures and prepare immobilization devices for various body parts
- Monitor patients' clinical progress according to established protocols
- Assist in clinical training and evaluation of student therapists
- Communicate clearly and concisely with healthcare teams, patients, and families
- Radiology Tech License from the State of Utah
- Certification in Radiation Therapy from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited institution
This role requires frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors, as well as manual dexterity to manipulate complex equipment. The ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients is also essential.
