Position Overview:

This role requires a dedicated individual to lead therapeutic art sessions during weekend hours. The ideal candidate should be adept at guiding group therapy and possess the initiative to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients and establish tailored art therapy objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of patients, assessing the effectiveness of art therapy methods.
  • Organize and facilitate therapeutic art activities for both individual and group settings, promoting social interaction among participants.
  • Provide patients with information about community resources and art therapy activities.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and achieve desired therapeutic outcomes.
  • Maintain a vigilant and safe working environment.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Art Therapy or a related discipline.

Experience Requirements:

  • No prior experience necessary.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach, and perform repetitive movements.
  • Visual acuity and depth perception necessary for various tasks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respond to auditory signals.
  • Frequent use of a keyboard for data entry.
  • Occasional physical activities such as bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
