Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Head Cashier to join our team at Natural Grocers. As a key member of our front-end team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, training and directing cashiers, and supporting overall store operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide World Class Customer Service and a positive customer experience as the number one priority.
  • Team Leadership: Exemplify integrity, responsibility, and excellence and adhere to all policies. Train and direct cashiers to ensure they are knowledgeable about products and services.
  • Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the front end, including cashiering, cash handling, and customer service.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure that front-end sets are full and well-maintained, and that inventory is accurately counted and recorded.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with customers, cashiers, and other team members to ensure seamless operations.
  • Problem-Solving: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: 1 year of cashiering experience and 1 year of supervising others preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, ability to manage changing priorities, and highly organized with great attention to detail.
  • Certifications: Ability to pass food safety training courses and/or certifications as required by law.
