Nurse Practitioner II

The purpose of this role is to provide high-quality patient care as a Clinical Registered Nurse II at MarinHealth. This position requires a registered professional nurse to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, direct, and delegate care to ensure the delivery of safe and effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients' physical condition and behavior to formulate a nursing diagnosis.
- Develop and implement age-specific care plans in collaboration with patients and families.
- Perform essential nursing skills and explain health treatments to patients and families.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care planning and modify plans as needed.
- Act as a patient advocate and initiate action to improve healthcare or change decisions that are against the interests or wishes of patients.
- Current valid California RN license.
- Possession of BLS-HCP with American Heart Association as required by Hospital policy.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support with American Heart Association required.
- PALS required within 90 days.
- Procedural sedation competency and Discharge Criteria competency.
- Possession of other certifications (MICN, ACLS, etc.) as required by departmental policy.
- Minimum two years pre/post op nursing experience required.
- Pediatric critical care experience is required.
- Experience with hospital electronic charting and electronic health record systems is required.
