Position Overview

The ideal candidate for the role of School Bus Assistant will exhibit reliability, adaptability, empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to community service.

Key Duties:

  • Supervise and guide student conduct on the bus, applying district behavioral policies and addressing minor issues while documenting significant concerns.
  • Assist students with their needs during transit, promoting a supportive environment, and maintaining clear communication with the Transportation Safety and Behavior Facilitator, offering daily reports on student behavior and progress.
  • Engage actively in mandatory meetings and training sessions to remain informed about best practices in student management and safety measures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Successful completion of a background screening.

Compensation:

  • Hourly wage of $19.09.

Work Schedule:

  • Part-time morning and afternoon shifts or a split shift totaling 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
  • Morning hours: 6:00 AM - 8:30 AM.
  • Afternoon hours: 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM.
  • Potential for additional hours available.
