Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Minnesota Careers. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a critical role in providing essential services to Minnesota's most vulnerable residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals with mental health conditions or developmental disabilities
  • Transport and accompany individuals to medical appointments, community outings, and recreational activities
  • Administer medications and implement instructions as directed
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid and CPR as needed

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Current and valid driver's license
  • Basic math skills
  • Clear communication skills
  • Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals with mental health conditions or developmental disabilities
  • Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices
